The Seedstars World competition comes to Guadalajara for the first time!
Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes, is coming to Guadalajara on May 8th, 2017 at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara.
The best startups from Guadalajara will pitch in front of an investment panel and compete to be crowned the most promising seed-stage startup of Seedstars Mexico. The winning startup will join the global Seedstars Family and take part in the finals for Mexico at SSW Mexico and compete to represent the country at the Seedstars World competition and win up to USD 1 million in equity investment, the chance to be part of a 3months growth program and network with investors and mentors from around the world.
Criteria:
1.) Have maximum 2 years since founding date,
2.) Have a maximum of USD 500,000 of funding to date,
3.) Have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
This year Seedstars is also partnering with the bank BBVA to source the best FinTech startups in Latin America for their BBVA Open Talent competition! In others words startups have double chances to win!
In addition to the Seedstars Prize, BBVA will award the best FinTech startup with 1000 EUR as well as the chance to be named country winner and take part to the Regional Final Summit of BBVA Open Talent and compete for 30,000k grant.
Criteria:
1.) Projects must be operative or at least in beta version,
2.) Startups no older than January 1st 2013,
3.) Earned less than €1,5 M in revenue,
4.) Raised less than €2,5 M in funding.
In addition to seeing the top startups pitch, you can look forward to an event filled with disruptive tech, inspirational discussions and networking sessions.
